A Journey into Mindfulness and Reflection

16 Nov

Greetings to all Seekers of Wisdom,

As we embark on this shared exploration, I extend a warm welcome to the beautiful souls seeking tranquility and enlightenment. Today, let’s delve into the essence of relaxation, a state essential to activating our subconscious minds.

Relaxation is not merely a luxury but a crucial tool to tap into the depths of our subconscious. Have you ever noticed how thoughts before bedtime linger and morning reflections stay with us? These moments, on the brink of sleep, offer a receptive state of mind, where profound change and healing can occur.

Entering the theta state, be it for supplication, altering beliefs, healing traumas, or simply embracing relaxation, works like magic.

In an era where knowledge is at our fingertips, the responsibility lies in our hands. we must first address and solve the foundational issues in our lives before helping others. Are we effectively dealing with household problems, managing our desires, maintaining proper nutrition, and conquering our fears?

Changing Within for Imam’s Arrival:

Surah Ar-Ra’d emphasizes the divine principle:

“Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.”

To change within, we turn to the teachings of Ahlul Bayt, advocating mindfulness and reflection. Imam Askari (a.s) beautifully guides us, stating that worship is not confined to rituals alone; reflection is the key. Radiant Allah (S) further emphasizes that one hour of reflection outweighs 70 years of worship.

Mindfulness – A Path to Transformation:

Mindfulness, the awakening realization that we are not our thoughts but the consciousness behind them, marks the initial step toward transformation. Separating ourselves from incessant mental chatter liberates us, enveloping our beings in peace.

Opposed to mindfulness often lies learned behavior. For instance, reacting emotionally to stress may be a learned response. Mindfulness prompts us to pause, choose the best course in a situation, and initiate positive change.

Practical Mindfulness Examples:

  1. Being present in the moment
  2. Shifting from ego to a state of love
  3. Recognizing fear as an illusion
  4. Viewing salat as meditation and zikr
  5. Focusing on the body’s reactions in times of hurt

Mindfulness is particularly crucial for women, mothers, and nurturers, contributing to their overall well-being. By redirecting attention from external to internal matters, women can address and prevent seemingly small problems from escalating.

Healing Ourselves to Help Others:

Drawing inspiration from the selfless sacrifices of Imam Hussain (a.s) at Ashura, we learn the importance of healing ourselves before extending help to others. It’s a journey of self-awareness and readiness.

Creating Euphoria and Connecting with Allah:

Creating personal euphoria, a serene mental space, allows us to recharge and return to the world with renewed energy. This mirrors the concept of Salat, encouraging believers to dwell in a state of spiritual ecstasy.

Embracing Religion with Love:

Are we practicing our religion with stress or with love? Cultivating a genuine love for Allah requires establishing a personal relationship. Speak to Him, ask for His guidance, and express your love. In the presence of love, worldly concerns diminish.

Breaking Shackles for Freedom:

Guilt, a complex emotion, can either bind or liberate. As the Quran suggests, Prophet Muhammad (S) came to break our shackles and set us free. This process unfolds gradually as we follow the Prophet’s guidance, ultimately attaining complete freedom.

Conclusion:

Let’s commence this transformative journey today, recognizing the power within to change our lives and contribute to the collective awakening.
